Hi! My name is Marco and I’m the guy behind PasstheQlts. As you would imagine, I graduated in Law in Italy and qualified as a solicitor in Italy and Spain. I was working in house for a retail company for the last few years in Italy, but then decided I needed a change of perspective, culture, opportunities and so on. And London was the answer to my internal struggle! I moved to London and now it’s time to set the next steps in my career. To be totally honest I knew that the only logical step, unless you are looking for a career change (yes, but what?), if you want to practice Law in the UK, is what this blog is about: to pass the QLTS Exam, the Qualified Transfer Scheme! Really, I am just a guy who has the goal to pass the QLTS Exam to build a professional career in Law in London. I will share my study plan with you, read all the possible guides, interview successful candidates and try to post everything online. Of course any help, question, comment or suggestion from you will be greatly appreciated! Best of luck! Cheers! M

  1. Hi all,
do you think it would be impossible/a suicide to do the MCT on January if I start studying now?
I work 9 to 5.30 so I could studying during evenings and weekends.
Has anyone done it (successfully) in a short time?
    Thank you,
    Maria

  2. Hi Maria,
    welcome to Pass the QLTS.
It really depends on your level of confidence with English and the English Legal System.
I’ve heard all sort of experiences, so it’s really hard to say if that can be done.
2 months appears to be a bit tight to me, particularly because I’m a really bad student and I need some time to get started.
Let me know what you decide, and hopefully some other user will provide his/her view.

    Ciao!

    Marco

    • hello Marco..great forum! can I pls contact you by email? I saw you provided contact details..I am Laura a qualified lawyer from Romania I have 14 years of experience ..I am on maternity leave right now and I have a 9 month old baby plus a 7 year old child and I am divorced..I dont see my future here as a lawyer as things are pretty tough when you want to re start practicing after a 3 year old brake..so I was thinking about learning and sitting the MCT and the OSCE..Would you think it s possible for someone in my situation to make it in london after ofc passing the exams? Do you passed the OSCE?
